The proposal of Relatedness Theory (RT) aims to construct an unprecedented relational ontology. It is not intended to prove the superiority of any particular theory in the arena of human thought, nor is it to chase any recognition or achievement in the worldly sense?these, for the endeavor of seeking the origin of existence, are all but fleeting clouds. Its birth stems from a more primordial, more profound inner impulse: an almost frenzied, incomparably strong desire for freedom, attempting to transcend "existence" itself; a way to re-"witness" that mysterious and unfathomable cosmos with the most thorough honesty, the most unified perspective, and in a manner that can best accommodate our dual identity as "cognitive subjects" and "existential individuals." This is an "eye-to-eye engagement" with the cosmos, devoid of presuppositions, aiming to re-understand and re-experience, from the most fundamental level, that inseparable, deeply interconnected, and shared-destiny bond between ourselves and this infinitely related universe.

Wang Xiongwei, born in 1997 in Wuhan, Hubei, China, is the author of Relatedness Theory: An Exploration from Ontological Foundations to a Unified Framework of Existence.
The author is dedicated to constructing an unprecedented relational ontology, aiming to re-"witness" and comprehend the indivisible, profound connection between ourselves and this infinitely related cosmos with utmost honesty and a unified perspective.
The ontological framework of Relatedness Theory was initially completed in early 2021. In the more than four years that followed, while the framework itself underwent no major alterations, the author dedicated the majority of his efforts to a relentless process of interrogating, deconstructing, and refining the fundamental motivations and ultimate aims behind the construction of this theory. This journey has been both an intellectual exploration to build a novel picture of existence and a profound exercise in self-examination and philosophical inquiry. Through Relatedness Theory, the author hopes to offer readers a new, logically self-consistent perspective to re-understand existence, the cosmos, and the self.
