WOODEN CLOCKCASES

There is no doubt that the construction of period time pieces is very popular with woodworkers, and yet there is little on the market for the budding reproduction wooden clock case maker. This book attempts to fill this gap by including instructions on how to make 18 clockcases, all of which are reproduction pieces (dating from 1660 to 1900) taken from museums and private collections. The clocks featured include bracket clocks, balloon clocks, Vienna Regulators, dial clocks, wall clocks, cuckoo clocks and longcase clocks, as well as barometers. They are English, Scottish, American, German, French, Austrian and Japanese, and range in style and complexity.
