Behavioral and Neurophysiological Characterization of a Model of Post-operative Pain in the Rat

This work investigates changes in mechanosensitivity and in dorsal horn neuronal functioning caused by a surgical incision in a rat's foot. At the end of the experiment, a local anaesthetic infiltration of the wound was performed, and any changes in function of the cells were reassessed.
