Beginning with a discussion of the principles of laser physics, this book then compares the major laser systems used in medical treatment. It covers tissue interaction and depth of penetration followed by applications of various systems on benign and malignant diseases of the genitalia, urethra, prostate, bladder and upper urinary tract. There are specific chapters on microsurgery and welding, the treatment of stones (including laser lithotripsy) as well as laser safety, training and scheduling.
