The emergence of «contextual» Third World theologies, the specific reflections within Christian-Jewish-dialogue and efforts towards an ecumenical theology form the framework for this study. It creates an ecumenical dialogue between South-Korean Minjung theology and West-German «theology after Auschwitz», both of which are analyzed and confronted in terms of context, peculiarities and theological topics (methodology/hermeneutics, exegesis, christology, ecclesiology, political theology). This dialogue is a contribution to an ecumenical hermeneutics and shows substantial challenges for an ecumenical theology.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
«...this is a book from which all those who hold the future of contextual theology and the ecumenical task at heart should derive much profit. Whether one agrees with its conclusions or not, it opens up new vistas for intercontextual dialogue, and gives rise to a host of questions which deserve to be taken most seriously.» (William Russell, The Ecumenical Review)
