Newton, M.D., FAAN, is currently the Medical Director for the Neuro-Oncology Program and Brain Tumor Institute at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Seidman Cancer Center, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he is also a Professor of Neurology and Solid Tumor Oncology, and holds the William Burton Risman Neurological Institute Chair in Memory and Cognition. Prior to that he was the Director of the Neuro-Oncology Center and Medical Neuro-Oncology Program at the Advent Health Cancer Institute and Advent Health Orlando Campus in Orlando, Florida. He is also retired as a Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Dardinger Neuro-Oncology Center, Esther Dardinger Endowed Chair in Neuro-Oncology and Division of Neuro-Oncology at the Ohio State University Medical Center and James Cancer Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and Royal Society of Medicine, and a member of numerous national and international societies.
