Pancreatic Islet Transplantation: Procurement of Pancreatic Islets v. 1

This volume examines current methods of procuring and preserving the pancreas. Approaches to pancreatic tissue digestion and islet purification, collagenese selection and islet isolation from rodent are discussed. Quantitative and qualitative assessment of the islets, islet cryopreservation, scale-up of islet production, islet cell proliferation, and creation of genetically engineered b-cell lines are also addressed.
