Rezensionen / Stimmen
"The topics discussed are of great importance not only for lexicograpers, but also for linguists, because they are devoted to the latest trends of development in modern linguistics as well as terminology studies in Russia and abroad. What is especially interesting are projects of new dictionaries for general and special purposes which are being compiled in various countries.I am sure that publication of these papers as a book will contribute to development of national and international lexicographic studeis."Dr.Dmitry Dmitriev, St.-Petersburg, Institute of Linguistic Research, Russian Academy of Sciences "The book covers theoretical problems of modern lexicography and terminology on international and national level. The scope of languages described is rather wide: English, Russian, French, Italian, etc. and gives a comprehensive picture of modern trends in dictionary making. The authors touch upon important problems preceding compilation of various types of dictionaries: phraseological, terminological, learners, authors and other reference works which contribute to further development and reseach in terminology and lexicography. A very up-to date book."Dr. Prof. Dr. Dmitry Dobrovolsky, Moscow, Institute of Russian Language , Russian Academy of Sciences"I wish to congratulate Ivanovo State University with 10 years of International Summer Schools in lexicography, with special regards to its organizer and primus motor, Prof. Olga Karpova. I had the pleasure to attend the third summer school in 1999, giving three lectures on different topics in modern lexicography. The School in Ivanovo is important to the development of modern Russian lexicography. It is my opinion, that Ivanovo State University and Prof. Karpova through this school has developed a lexicographic specialist environment to the benefit of the whole Russian linguistic society."
