Since 2007, he is a member of the Central Ethics Committee at the Federal Chamber of Physicians. In the German Ethics Council, he led the working group on mandatory measles vaccination. His scientific work is focused on psychosocial and societal aspects of genetic testing, and on problems of risk communication and informational self-determination.
Prof. Dr. iur. Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf, LL.M., holds a chair in public law, particularly constitutional law and social law, at the University of Potsdam. From 2013 to 2014, she was a member of the committee on »Verfassungsreform« of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament. From 2014 to 2017, she was a member of the demographic advisory board »Zukunftsforum Niedersachsen« of the Lower Saxony state government. From 2015 to 2024, she was a deputy non-professional judge member of the Constitutional Court of the Free State of Saxony. From 2017 to 2022, she was a member of the Central Ethics Committee of the Federal Medical Association. From 2023 to 2024, she was a member of the Federal Government Commission on »Reproductive Self-Determination and Reproductive Medicine.« The focus of research of Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf is on constitutional law, social security law, education law and public family law.
