This is the autobiography of one of the world's best-known explorers, who has ventured time and again from the comfort and security of his Cornish farm into some of the remotest regions on earth, usually in conditions of acute discomfort and often danger. The author describes many dramatic and sometimes hilarious adventures in the Sahara, the jungles of Central and South America, Indonesia and elsewhere.
