He is the authors and editor of several works on Ireland, including Irish Poetry Since 1950: from Stillness into History (2000) Alex Davis is Lecturer in English at University College Cork. He has written widely on English, Irish and American Literature and is author of A Broken Line: Denis Devlin and Irish Poetic Modernism. Andrew Hadfield is Professor of English at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He has published extensively on Irish history and culture.
