The book has been exclusively written by 85 authors, who practice in the Asia Pacific regions intensive care environment, thus provides a contemporary overview of the practice intensive care medicine in our region. In addition to the sections on general assessment and organ support in critically ill, over the half of the book is dedicated to organ dysfunction and specific critical illness syndromes (including the infectious diseases) that are prevalent in areas of the region.
