Lately, things have been a little crazy for Pastor Abby Shaw. Her boyfriend has split up with her, her mother keeps calling, insisting that she visit her, and to cap it all off, she's inundated with things to do in preparation for Lent and Easter. So when an all-woman retreat to the Catoctin Mountain arrives, Abby breathes a sigh of relief, thinking to herself that she'll finally have a chance to get away from some of the problems in her life.
But that's when something goes terribly wrong.
One of the women retreatants is murdered and now the police, including her former boyfriend, Trooper Ike Eichelberger, are suspicious of the victim's sister, and one of Abby's best friends, Barb Johnson. To make things worse, Alvin Porter, church official and regular pain-in-the-neck, is blaming Abby for the failed women's retreat, friend Dora Knaub is insulted when Abby becomes suspicious of her niece, and perhaps most frightening of all, Abby's mother arrives unannounced and immediately begins wedding preparations for Abby and a man that Abby's not sure she even wants to date.
Meanwhile, the killer is still out there...with another target in mind.
