Mark Tully's India

Mark Tully looks back on more than two decades as the BBC's correspondent in India. With additional observations recorded by Tully, this compilation represents a record of his broadcasts which provides not only an historical account of events but also a description of India itself. The events on which he reported included the assassinations of two Indian Prime Ministers, the storming of the Sikh Golden Temple, the Bhopal gas disaster, and the conflict between Hindus and Muslims which followed the demolition of a mosque at Ayodhya.
