Phenomics provides an international forum for highlighting the cutting-edge scientific advances in the emerging field of phenomics.
Phenome is the measurable traits or characteristics result from the complex interactions of genes, symbiotic microorganisms, epigenetics, diet and environmental exposures. Phenomics is focusing on the emerging field of phenomics: the study of phenome that is a set of measurable properties of physical, chemical and biological phenotypes of individuals and populations other than the genome, including proteome and metabolome at molecular level, cellular features at cellular level, as well as all kinds of organs at organismal level; the mechanisms underlying genomic architecture and regulatory networks; and the relationship between phenotypes and disease risks as well as the intervention responses, providing a pre-requisite to understanding the health and disease states of mammals.
