The Parliamentary History Essay Prize, worth £500, is offered in 2024 for the best essay submitted on an historical subject related to the history of parliaments and representative institutions in Britain, Ireland, and British colonial dependencies. The prize is restricted to early career researchers (individuals within eight years of the award of their PhD, or within six years of their first academic appointment, excluding any period of career break).
