The International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry aims to communicate the latest findings in the causes, treatment, and care of all forms of mental disorder which affect the elderly. With the rapidly increasing world population of aged people, there is a need to focus attention on the problems of mental disorders in late life, particularly in relation to conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Our readers range from psychiatrists, psychologists, social scientists, nurses, and others engaged in therapeutic professions, together with general neurobiological researchers.
