This is one of a number of titles that Gulf Publishing produces for the oil, natural gas, and, to some extent, solid fuel industries.  Articles include short bibliographies, may be mathematical in treatment, and point to experimental results as well as to practical experience. Each issue has a theme some of these repeat, such as a "Clean Fuels" issue and "Construction Boxscore" (which company is building what type of plant in what part of the world). Regular columns include one on web sites that should be of value to the readership.
