This video on rocks and minerals is part of a series that brings natural history and environmental subjects to life. Through the use of multiple image live-action photography, graphics and animation techniques, rocks are seen from a closer and more involved angle. The episode takes us to the most remarkable sites of geologic wonder on earth - and some of the most difficult to reach. From new islands in the making in the ocean depths, to the revelations in store at the tops of mountains.
