Archaeology at Work: Investigating Towns

This is one of a series of videos which presents the methods and equipment used by archaeologists, from excavation and fieldwork to scientific techniques, and from conservation in the laboratory to the management of the historic environment. Using Worcester, Liverpool and Shrewsbury as examples, this video examines how archaeologists recognize and record evidence of towns. It looks at the techniques used to trace the relationships between different kinds of buildings, including street houses, shops and civic architecture.
