for solo piano
From the influences of the Southern US and the Caribbean to the Igbo people of Africa, this second volume truly represents the music of Africa and its Diaspora. This intermediate-level volume features more jazz and syncopated pieces that are both reflective and dance-like. Performance notes and composer biographies are also provided.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
A new supply of richly varied repertoire * John York, Piano 2007 * There are performance notes for all pieces (as with Volume 1) and here, too, you're bound to find something that catches you ear. A most welcome addition to the catalogue, especially for pedagogues, and what's more, each volume will cost you no more than GBP10 ($20). * Pianist, October 07 * Technically accomplished pianists seeking to develop their hands, ears, and imagination in new ways, and to take their audiences on voyages of discovery, are recommended to obtain these volumes at the earliest opportunity. * Musical Opinion *
