Five attractive pieces for young players exploring different moods and producing a well-rounded suite. Idiomatically written for the instrument. Straight-forward, with effective piano accompaniments, although the pieces also remain satisfying when unaccompanied. Dedicated to the composer's young son, these five pieces of moderate difficulty describe a typical weekend in the life of a young person. A stroll down town, the fun of a Saturday night out, the excitement of ten-pin bowling, the peacefulness of a Sunday evening in and the sprint to get to school in time on a Monday morning. This title is available for both Alto and Tenor (or Soprano) Saxophone.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
Dedicated to Alan's son, Sam, these five varied pieces are colourful and suit the saxophone well. The accompaniment is printed for both E flat or B flat saxes while the sax line stays the same. Each number describes a different part of the weekend, ending in a rush to get to school on time on Monday. They are written in an attractive style at about Grade 4-5 level, and will prove to be a very useful set of pieces for the younger student. * Clarinet & Saxophone Spring 1995 * Written for saxophone, with piano accompaniment, these five lively pieces offer tuneful, lively descriptions of the average young person's weekend, ending with the Monday morning rush. * Sheet Music *
