for SATB (with divisions) unaccompanied.
A short upbeat setting of words from Psalms 9, 95, and 97, Cantate Domino opens with a triple-metre dance-like section that features optional clapping. Brown juxtaposes a darker, more chromatic middle section that has an optional verse in French, before reprising the joyful opening material.

Tim Brown received his initial music training as a chorister at Westminster Abbey and later studied music at King's College, Cambridge. Having first taught in schools, he was appointed Director of Music of Clare College, Cambridge in 1979 and during the next thirty years brought the choir to international recognition, whilst re-establishing the University Chamber Choir and founding the professional ensemble English Voices.
In 2011 Tim founded the Zuercher Sing-Akademie, a professional chorus based in Zuerich, Switzerland that frequently performs with the Tonhalle Orchestra. Involved with amateur music-making throughout his career, he is a much sought-after conductor and adjudicator at international singing events.
Beyond his extensive conducting activities, Tim has edited a number of choral volumes, including the Choral Works volumes of the complete William Walton Edition, published by Oxford University Press.
