The six short pieces contained in this album are written in a pleasantly fresh style with lots of charm but with some unexpected harmonic twists. The descriptive titles given to each piece provide the composer with ready-made moods for his music which he characterizes to entertaining effect. The music has been written in an idiom which is both accessible yet stretching for the player and the piano accompaniment enhances the musical content whilst remaining fairly easy to play.
