Insight Flexi Map: Madeira

Fleximap Madeira is a laminated, tear-resistant map which includes 6 maps. Madeira, Ilhas Desertas and Porto Sango are all shown at a scale of 1:85 000 and the use of relief shading shows the topography of the islands. These 3 maps are indexed to shows places and points of interest. The Madeira map clearly shows the Nature Park, the Levadas and the main rambling paths on which the best view points are indicated.

Funchal is shown on two maps, one at 1:15 000 and a more detailed city centre map at 1:7 500. Places of interest, parks and public buildings are clearly shown and named, each map has a separate index, categorized for ease of use.

In addition to the mapping, Fleximap Madeira also gives a list - with descriptions and some photographs - of 24 recommended sights, divided by theme and linked to the mapping by numbered markers. There is also a handy information section with concise details on getting around, tourist offices, money, tipping, opening times, public holidays, telecommunications, emergency telephone numbers and climate.
