Crawdad is a groundbreaking neurophysiology laboratory guide on CD-ROM. More than just a traditional lab manual on disk, Crawdad engages the student with multimedia, teaching through video demonstrations the particular dissection and recording techniques to be used. The exercises use simple invertebrate preparations (primarily crayfish), rather than classical vertebrate preparations, to illustrate fundamental processes of all nervous systems. The self-contained interface requires no internet browser and features hypertext links along with optional video subtitles and voice-overs. PLEASE NOTE: At this time, Crawdad is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion). A new version that is compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 is expected to be available in Autumn 2012.
