Sylvius Pro

"Sylvius PRO" is an interactive digital atlas of the human brain, allowing the user to select from four high resolution brain image data sets and to conduct virtual sectioning in the axial, coronal, and sagittal planes. Extensive three dimensional volume reconstructions enable the user to view, rotate, and section not only whole brain models but discrete structures and systems (eg the ventricular system, cerebellum, brainstem, and basal ganglia). Brain image data sets include high resolution photographs, magnetic resonance images (MRI) of the living brain, MRI of a brain specimen, and images from the National Library of Medicine's Visible Human Project.
