Medical Terminology CD-Rom

This interactive CD-ROM program presents terminology by medical specialty in modules that include screens on origins, anatomy, word building, context, procedures, technology, health care issues and more. It provides the users with basic knowledge of medical terminology, categorized by body system and can be used either with Delmar's medical terminology texts or independently. Media elements such as voice, music, and animation sessions aim to bring terms associated with anatomy and medical procedures to life and reinforce the learning process. The structured design, organized by body systems and scripted like a visit to the hospital, makes self-guided learning sessions or quick references more accessible. A navigation map is provided that shows users where they are, where they have been and where they can go at all times. Included are access to anatomy graphics, a brief drug reference, and medical terms in the allied health dictionary.
