With the IJBK the user receives a current overview of contributions to a whole range of scientific and scholarly congresses. Besides the humanities and social sciences, emphasis is also placed on covering other scientific fields, such as mathematics and the life sciences. Accurate searches can be made, not only for current articles from a vast range of fields, but also for contributions from past years with the help of numerous combinable search criteria. The database IJBK records over 980,000 indexes from more than 33,000 mainly European congress proceedings from 1984 on. Each bibliographic entry containsinformation on author, title of the contribution , congress (place, date, publisher), subject (in German, English and Italian), subject heading (in German and English).
