The Dynamic Human: CD-Rom

This interactive CD-ROM reviews the key areas in anatomy and physiology and is designed to be used in the classroom, resource centre, or on the student's own PC. It contains 13 chapters covering body organization, cell physiology and the eleven body systems. Other features of the text include: 50 animations of illustrations explaining step-by-step how complex processes happen; 20 3-D animations to give students a perspective for dimensions; clinical video clips giving students a realistic view of such topics as an endoscopic investigation of the respiratory tract and endoscopy of the cardiovascular system; cadaver images containing transverse cross-sections of a human cadaver allowing students to review anatomy using actual cadaver images; and 130 histology micrographs, each of which features a unique idnetification tool that helps students learn the anatomy at a micro level. Also included are explanations and pronunciations of functions, processes and terms.
