Professor. Emeritus, Shakouchi received his Dr. Eng. from Nagoya University, Japan, and 1992-1993 Guest Researcher at LSTM, Erlangen Univ., Germany. He is or was Professor of Mie Univ. Japan, 1994-2009 and Prof. Emeritus, 2009-. and Specially Appointed Prof., -2023. He has extensive experience in the research of fluid- and thermo-dynamics and engineering, especially fluid- and thermo-dynamic behavior and control of the various kinds of jets, wakes and separated flows including multi-phase flow.
