Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Hermann Dieter Schramm studied mathematics at the University of Stuttgart. He completed his work as a research associate in 1986 with a doctorate in theoretical mechanics. He then worked in the automotive industry for 18 years, including as head of development and managing director. From 2004 to 2024, he headed the Mechatronics Department at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
Dr.-Ing. Frédéric Etienne Kracht received his doctorate from the Mechatronics Department at the University of Duisburg-Essen on elastic chassis models for real-time applications. Since 2024, he has headed the Autonomous Driving Department at DST in Duisburg. As part of his teaching assignments, he is responsible for lectures in the areas of vehicle dynamics and highly automated driver assistance systems.
Dr.-Ing. Philipp Maximilian Sieberg received his doctorate from the Mechatronics Department at the University of Duisburg-Essen for his work on reliable AI-based methods for use in vehicle dynamics. He has been General Manager of Schotte Automotive GmbH & Co. KG since 2022. At the University of Duisburg-Essen, he is responsible for lectures in the fields of vehicle technology and highly automated driving.
