Mr Matheus (Roland) van Rens, RN, MA ANP
Matheus (Roland) van Rens has over 30 years of experience in neonatal nursing, and holds a Master's degree in Advanced Nursing Practice from Erasmus University in the Netherlands. His career encompasses advanced neonatal practice, interprofessional education, and clinical research, with significant contributions in Europe and the Middle East. Notably, he was honoured as the 2023 Janet Pettit Scholar by the Association for Vascular Access, recognising his exemplary contributions to neonatal and paediatric vascular access. Currently, he is engaged in a PhD study in the Netherlands, focusing on advancing neonatal vascular access practices through research and innovation.
Dr Kevin Hugill, RN, PhD
Kevin Hugill has an extensive background in neonatal nursing, hospital management, and course leadership and research in higher education in the UK and internationally. His PhD research focused on the emotional dimensions of neonatal admission on parents. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, co-authored book and book chapters in topics reflecting his wide research interests and has contributed extensively to the neonatal care literature.
