THOMAS WALKER is Professor of Finance at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He has served as associate dean, department chair, and director of the David O'Brien Centre for Sustainable Enterprise at Concordia. He has written over 60 journal articles and books.
NORTHROP SPRUNG-MUCH is a PhD candidate in finance at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. His research focuses on risk management, environmental economics, and corporate governance. He holds an MBA from Concordia University.
SHERIF GOUBRAN is a PhD candidate at Concordia University and a Vanier Scholar. His research focuses on sustainable building practices in design, engineering, and finance. He holds a MASc in Building Engineering and a BSc in architecture.

Elia E. Cia Alves is an associate professor of international relations in the Department of Political Science of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil, and professor at the graduate program in Public Management and International Cooperation. She is also a researcher at the Center for Research in Comparative and International Politics. She holds a PhD in political science from UFPE, where she also conducted postdoctoral studies. She holds a Master's degree in economics from Unicamp, and Bachelor's degrees in international relations from the University of São Paulo and in economics from Unisul. Her research interests include international political economy, environmental policy, policy diffusion, and energy policy.
Bruno Arcand is a candidate for the Master's degree in political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal where he is completing his thesis on Ontario's Green Energy and Green Economy Act. His research explores the relationship between economic development and climate change mitigation to better understand, evaluate, and develop environmental policies. His areas of interest include green industrial policy and the governance of disruptive policies to manage the sustainable transition.
Andrew Brennan is a senior lecturer at Curtin University in the School of Economics, Finance and Property. He has a strong innate desire to teach in and research on economics. His research has focused on critically evaluating measures of environmental and social welfare. He has a special interest in political economy, particularly ecological economics where he has published several papers. He enjoys communicating knowledge in creative and innovate ways so his students can attain the necessary skills to apply economic concepts to everyday events and be able to explain real-world phenomena.
Stephanie Cairns is the Director of Circular Economy, and former Director of the Cities and Communities program at the Smart Prosperity Institute, Canada's leading source of research and policy insights for a stronger, cleaner economy. She has done policy research on energy, environment, and economics for 30 years, authoring major reports and advising government agencies, think-tanks, nonprofit organizations, corporations, and industry associations. She has a BA (Hons) in environmental studies and economics from the University of Toronto, and an MSc from the Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University, Sweden.
Amelia Clarke has been working on environment and sustainability issues since 1989, including as President of Sierra Club Canada (2003-2006). She holds a PhD in management (strategy) from McGill University and is now a tenured faculty member in the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) at the University of Waterloo. As of May 2018, she is also the associate dean of research for the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo. Her research interests include community sustainable development strategies, local decarburization pathways, corporate social and environmental responsibility, and youth-led social entrepreneurship and innovation.
Tariro Kamuti is a postdoctoral research fellow with the South African National Biodiversity Institute, in conjunction with the Global Risk Governance Program of the Department of Public Law at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Kamuti holds a joint PhD from Vrije University Amsterdam, Netherlands, and the University of the Free State, South Africa. His research interests include land and environmental policy, governance issues surrounding the sustainable use of natural resources, and the social dimensions of biodiversity conservation. Kamuti is currently researching the rampant persecution of predators in areas surrounding livestock and private wildlife ranches.
David H. Lont is a professor of accounting at the University of Otago and a senior scholar in Management at the University of California, Davis. He has published extensively on financial reporting, auditing, financial markets, and climate risk-related issues. His research has also been featured in the international media. He is an editor for two accounting academic journals: Abacus and Accounting and Finance. He is a fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia, and a past president and fellow of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand.
Astghik Mavisakalyan is an associate professor at the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre at Curtin University. Her research is interested in political economy, with recent work focusing on the sources of differences in climate change policy action around the world, as well as the distributional aspects of natural resource abundance. Mavisakalyan's research has been published in a number of reputable journals including the European Economic Review, Energy Economics, Journal of Comparative Economics, European Journal of Political Economy and Southern Economic Journal, among others.
Carol Pomare is an associate professor of accounting at Mount Allison University. Pomare's market-based accounting research, in collaboration with Dr Lont and Dr Griffin, focuses on the impact of disclosure of greenhouse gas emissions on stock valuation and in event studies. Pomare is grateful for the Financial Accounting Research Grant from the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and the Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA). She is also grateful for the Marjorie Young Bell Faculty Fellowship and travel grants from the Marjorie Young Bell Faculty Fund.
Muhammad Abdur Rahaman has a MSc degree from Chittagong University in geography and environmental studies. In his professional history, he has served national and international development organizations with research and development activities, including the Planning Commission, Worldwatch Institute, and the International Institute for Vegetable and Ornamental Crops. He has conducted much research on health, climate change, disaster risk reduction, water, agriculture, and gender perspectives. He is currently serving as director for the Climate Change Adaptation, Mitigation Experiment & Training (CAMET) Park. He is also serving different organizations as a freelance expert, and is a scientific expert for international networks on Home Garden for Response and Recovery (HG4RR).
Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman is working as a research and advocacy officer at Network on Climate Change in Bangladesh (NCCB). He has extensive experience in both scientific and social research, and over three years of experience in planning and reporting on climate change, public health, environmental, social, and development interventions. He has worked as a researcher with the University of Victoria, the Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit, the Christian Commission For Development In Bangladesh, Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies, the Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development, and Grameen Communications on their different development and research projects. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, he completed a Master's degree from the same department. He has also published several articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
Quintin G. Rayer holds a PhD in physics from the University of Oxford, is a fellow of the Institute of Physics, a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), a chartered wealth manager, and a graduate of the Sustainable Investment Professional Certification (SIPC) program at Concordia University. With experience in actuarial consultancy and wealth management, he founded P1's ethical investment proposition in January 2017.
Camilo Romero holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Los Andes in Colombia. He started his academic career in history, doing research about the construction controlling profession in Colombia. In 2015, he left Colombia and lived between Egypt and Germany while obtaining a Master's degree in urban development at the Technical University of Berlin. His research interests are politics of urban development, urban political economy, and urban political ecology.
Sharanya Basu Roy is an associate lecturer of economics, business, law and social sciences at the University of Derby, UK. Her field of specialization is primarily environmental and natural resource economics, but she has also been exploring interdisciplinary methodologies, such as the "economic analysis of law." She completed her PhD in environmental law (using interdisciplinary approaches) from University College Cork (UCC), Ireland, and was funded by the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship and UCC School of Law PhD Scholarship. While at UCC, she was also awarded the President James Slattery Prize and Medal in Law. Basu Roy has worked on various government funded projects like the WetlandLIFE, and has experience working with various government organizations, such as India's National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (NISTADS-CSIR) and the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (CEFIPRA).
Horatiu A. Rus is an economist by training and works as an associate professor of economics and political science at the University of Waterloo. His earlier research work straddles the fields of natural resource economics and international trade, while his more recent projects...
