This book gathers outstanding research papers presented at the 8th International Joint Conference on Advances in Computational Intelligence (IJCACI 2024), held in hybrid mode at South Asian University, New Delhi, India, during October 5-6, 2024. IJCACI 2024 is jointly organized by Jahangirnagar University (JU), Bangladesh, and South Asian University (SAU), India. Mohammad Shorif Uddin received Ph.D. in Information Science from Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan, Master in Technology Education from Shiga University, Japan, Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), and also MBA from IBA, Jahangirnagar University. Mohammad Shorif Uddin joined in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, in 1992 and currently working as a professor of this department. Besides, Mohammad Shorif Uddin also served as the Departmental Chairman from June 2014 to June 2017. In addition, Mohammad Shorif Uddin serves as an adviser of the School of Science and Engineering, ULAB. Mohammad Shorif Uddin began teaching career in 1991 as a lecturer of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).
Dr. Jagdish Chand Bansal is an associate professor (Senior Grade) at South Asian University New Delhi and a visiting professor at Maths and Computer Science, Liverpool Hope University UK. He also holds a visiting professorship at NIT Goa, India. Dr. Bansal obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from IIT Roorkee. Before joining SAU New Delhi, he worked as an assistant professor at ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior and BITS Pilani. His primary area of interest is swarm intelligence and nature-inspired optimization techniques. Recently, he proposed a fission-fusion social structure-based optimization algorithm, spider monkey optimization (SMO), which is being applied to various problems in the engineering domain. He has published over 70 research papers in various international journals/conferences. He is the section editor (editor-in-chief) of the journal MethodsX published by Elsevier.

Das Dateiformat PDF zeigt auf jeder Hardware eine Buchseite stets identisch an. Daher ist eine PDF auch für ein komplexes Layout geeignet, wie es bei Lehr- und Fachbüchern verwendet wird (Bilder, Tabellen, Spalten, Fußnoten). Bei kleinen Displays von E-Readern oder Smartphones sind PDF leider eher nervig, weil zu viel Scrollen notwendig ist. Mit Wasserzeichen-DRM wird hier ein „weicher” Kopierschutz verwendet. Daher ist technisch zwar alles möglich – sogar eine unzulässige Weitergabe. Aber an sichtbaren und unsichtbaren Stellen wird der Käufer des E-Books als Wasserzeichen hinterlegt, sodass im Falle eines Missbrauchs die Spur zurückverfolgt werden kann.
