Paul Tyson is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow with the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry at the University of Queensland. His doctorate was in sociology, and he has post-graduate qualifications in philosophy and theology. Tyson has also been a high school teacher and was the chaplain at Brisbane State High School for four years around the turn of the century.
