This MRI atlas of the knee joint is the fruit of interdisciplinary cooperation among radiologists, orthopedists and traumatologists. All important diseases and injuries of the knee are covered. Every part of the joint is comprehensively depicted in a series of MR images ranging all the way from the normal status to frank disease. Clinical evaluation of the findings is followed in each case by detailed information on diagnostic pitfalls, staging of disease and consequences for treatment.

"This book is a well-organized and profusely illustrated atlas that is produced by an interdisciplinary team of radiologists, orthopedist, and traumatologist. It provides a good starting point for learning magnetic resonance (MR) imaging diagnosis of the adult and pediatric knee conditions. . The user-friendly format regularly contains succinct information on technique and method, anatomy, and the MR imaging appearance of normal and abnormal conditions . . this atlas is helpful for those who need a quick imaging-station reference of common pathologic entities of the knee." (Christopher G. Anton and Alan E. Oestreich, Radiology, October, 2004)
"An experienced team of authors from the fields of radiology, traumatology, and orthopedics presents this new book focusing on the important role of magnetic imaging in the knee. . A total of 325 cases are carefully presented and critically discussed . . the book in its present form is useful for everyday work of radiologists, orthopedics, and traumatologists, and it can be recommended to all physicians involved in MRI." (European Radiology, Vol. 14 (4), 2004)
"The authors define the vast majority of the knee pathology through a rich iconography and a brief but sufficient text. . this MRI knee atlas remains a verynice work, rich on the iconographical level, and will be very useful for radiologists in their daily exercise." (A. Moussaoui, European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology, Vol. 14 (2), 2004)
"This atlas of MRI of the knee is the fruit of cooperation between two experienced MR radiologists and two orthopedic and traumatologic surgeons. . The atlas is very systematic. . The illustrations are as a rule of very high quality. . It is a pleasure to recommend this MRI Atlas of the Knee to all departments that deal with MRI of the knee. It is especially valuable for residents and radiologists in training for musculoskeletal MRI." (Kjell Jonsson, Acta Radiologica, Vol. 44 (5), 2003)
"A picture paints a thousand words. This book provides what it says on the cover. It is an atlas of knee MR images . . I think this is a very useful picture reference, particularly valuable for those in their first few years of having to interpret MR of the knee without support." Systemvoraussetzungen:
