Claudio Scardovi founder and CEO of HOPE SpA and investment company specializing in private equity deals in Italy. He has been managing director and global co-head of the financial services practice for AlixPartners, a global consultancy focused on restructuring, value recovery, transformation, and growth. He has been specializing in the financial services and real estate sectors for the last 26 years, including an overall 21 years as managing director or country/regional head of financial services for a number of companies, including KPMG, Accenture, Intervaluenet, Oliver Wyman, Lehman Brothers, Nomura, Advent International and AlixPartners. He has been board member of large corporates in Italy, including in the multiutilities/ TMT and real estate sector. He is also a teaching professor at Bocconi University (Italy), specializing in capital markets, financial systems, bank restructuring, and transformation, lending and real estate, and at the Imperial College inLondon (UK) master's course in management where he teaches risk management. Claudio Scardovi has published more than 200 articles and papers and 22 books, published by Edibank, EGEA, Bocconi Press university, Routledge, Il Sole 24 Ore, Quondam, Mondadori, and Springer. He is also a member of the Strategic Advisory Board at the Imperial College and of the Future of Financial Services working group of the World Economic Forum.

Das Dateiformat PDF zeigt auf jeder Hardware eine Buchseite stets identisch an. Daher ist eine PDF auch für ein komplexes Layout geeignet, wie es bei Lehr- und Fachbüchern verwendet wird (Bilder, Tabellen, Spalten, Fußnoten). Bei kleinen Displays von E-Readern oder Smartphones sind PDF leider eher nervig, weil zu viel Scrollen notwendig ist. Mit Wasserzeichen-DRM wird hier ein „weicher” Kopierschutz verwendet. Daher ist technisch zwar alles möglich – sogar eine unzulässige Weitergabe. Aber an sichtbaren und unsichtbaren Stellen wird der Käufer des E-Books als Wasserzeichen hinterlegt, sodass im Falle eines Missbrauchs die Spur zurückverfolgt werden kann.
