If you need to buy one book in coaching - then this is it. This book introduces all the key elements for effective coaching practice and puts the relationship at the heart of the work. -- Stephen Paul This is an excellent book, both for anyone learning to coach and for experienced coaches seeking to develop their skills further. It explores key ideas in coaching in a wonderfully warm and readable style. -- Bob Thomson This book's focus on relationship and relationship management is something that has been missing from practitioner texts and so this book fills a huge gap. -- Elaine Cox This book provides a stimulating introduction to the field of relationship in coaching practice. Its value is enhanced by illustrative case studies, the personal reflections of the author, questions for consideration at the end of each chapter and a comprehensive collection of references to further reading that cover a good, representative proportion of current literature.
