The book is an attempt to let someone live beyond their years. It is an attempt to pay due respect to an unrecognised musical genius.
It is a memoir of growing up with a brother who was amongst the most brilliant and intelligent people I have ever met.
It tries to celebrate the oneness that is allowed to those who make music together. This oneness is made otherworldly by the biological and therefore emotional connection that being born of the same parents grants one.
In some small way I want the world to know what it missed but that I didn't.
I have played with many talented musicians inn my life, mostly in the years since Anthony John McKimm died and that has been a wonderful experience and I thank them all "for giving me the better bits of themselves" but nothing has compared to what it was like to stand and make music with this genius of an individual
The world would have been richer had it heard his music. The world is poorer for having not doing also

With a background in journalism, the author spent his early career working for a national industry representative organization, honing his skills in storytelling and communication. However, his greatest passion has always been music-an obsession sparked by his father's record collection, featuring the sounds of Marty Robbins, Dave Brubeck, and Harry Belafonte, played through the deep, resonant bass of a Magnavox sound system. The defining musical moment, however, came with the arrival of The Beatles. Their raw energy, vibrancy, and unfiltered creativity captivated both the author and his brother, offering a stark contrast to the restrained atmosphere of early 1960s Australia. From that point on, music became the driving force in his life.Beyond music and journalism, he has explored a diverse range of pursuits. He has worked in trades, laboring for bricklayers, plasterers, carpenters, and builders. He has coordinated a youth employment motivation enterprise and played a role in environmental protection efforts. His adventurous spirit led him to fly a glider solo and refine his golf game to an impressive handicap of 8.Yet, through all of these experiences, music remained at the core. Over the years, he has been part of multiple bands, performed solo, and collaborated in duos and trios. As a songwriter, he has composed thousands of songs, with his best work standing among the finest.
