Capetonian Miles Masterson has been surfing for more than a quarter of a century and has competed in many surfing events in South Africa and internationally, making the Western Province, Defence and Zululand teams several times as a junior, and more recently, the senior and masters WP teams. Miles has always preferred surf-travel to competition and has surfed good waves in Scotland, Ireland, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Australia, Namibia, Mauritius, Indonesia, the US and all over his native South Africa. A former associate editor of Wavelength, a surfing magazine in the UK, Miles also founded the award-winning Blunt magazine in South Africa, in conjunction with Atoll Media.
