I realized, as I started this book, that it would be impossible to convey a sense of everything that I've learned about pituitary adenomas during my career that spans more than three decades. I also recognize that it would be next to impossible to review the literature and provide a comprehensive scientific review of the subject matter. Such would be impractical as the purpose of this book is to educate patients, their families, primary physicians, physicians in training, and general endocrinologists. Further, the goal of this, and the other books in this series from Pituitary World News, is to reflect my opinions and experiences in a way that they can be translated into working knowledge with the primary emphasis of facilitating communication between patients, their families, and healthcare providers. With all of that said, I hope that you gained some insights about pituitary tumors and their treatments by reading this book.
