The book covers the basics of microfluidics, current applications in areas such as formulation, drug delivery, drug screening and development, monitoring and diagnostics, and case studies from a teaching perspective to undergraduate and postgraduate students, allowing application of the content in a flipped classroom. Multiple choice questions are included at the end of each chapter. All chapter authors are pioneers and world leaders. This is an ideal book for students, researchers, and industry professionals working on microfluidics in the pharmaceutical sciences.
Professor Dimitrios A. Lamprou (Ph.D., MBA) is the Chair of Biofabrication and Advanced Manufacturing at Queen's University Belfast. Currently, is the author of over 160 peer-reviewed publications, has over 450 conference abstracts and has given over 160 Invited Talks in institutions and conferences across the world. PubMed-based algorithms placed Prof Lampou in the top 0.07% of scholars in the world writing about microfluidics, in the past 10 years. Prof Lamprou has also been named in the Stanford University's list of World's Top 2% Scientists, for several consecutive years, for his research in Pharmaceutics and Biomedical Engineering.
Dr Edward Weaver (PhD MPharm) completed his degree in pharmacy, at the University of Nottingham, before pursuing a PhD at Queen's University Belfast. His doctorate research focussed on the sustainable microfluidic production of lipid nanoparticles, with a specific focus up the encapsulation of biologics. During his academic career, Edward has published over 20 manuscripts and has attended multiple conferences to showcase his work. He has a focus upon industrial scalability of various pharmaceutical media and is currently working upon improving scalable downstream manufacturing systems.

Dateiformat: PDFKopierschutz: Wasserzeichen-DRM (Digital Rights Management)
Systemvoraussetzungen:
