He has presented several papers relevant to his research areas at national and international conferences. Dr. Joginder Singh is presently working as Professor at the Department of Microbiology, Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India. Previously, he has worked as a Young Scientist at Microbial Biotechnology and Biofertilizer Laboratory, Department of Botany, Jai Narain Vyas University in Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. He is an active member of various scientific societies and organizations including, the Association of Microbiologists of India, the Indian Society of Salinity Research Scientists, the Indian Society for Radiation Biology, and the European Federation of Biotechnology. He has more than 130 research and review articles in peer-reviewed journals, edited 15 books published by Springer International Publishing, Elsevier Science Publishing and authored/co-authored 65 chapters in edited books. He serves as a reviewer for many prestigious journals, including Current Research in Engineering, Science and Technology, Journal of Cleaner Production, Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, Pedosphere, Soil and Sediment Contamination, Symbiosis, International Journal of Phytoremediation, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, Annals of Agricultural Sciences, Annals of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and many more. Dr Singh attended several International and National Seminars, Symposia, Conferences, chaired technical sessions, and presented papers. Despite teaching aptitude, his experience in planning and execution of R&D facilities at the scientist level and knowledge of microbial implications for resolving social problems have been well recognized in terms of research projects he is handling and has worked upon. His training and research experience prepared him to work with microbial consortium formulation and its ecology. His interest is to explore efficient strategies towards bioremediation and phytoremediation of pollutants from water and soil. Specific areas on which he is working are the microbial technology for rhizoremediation of polluted soil and targeting suitable plants and rhizospheric microorganisms from these areas along with enzymes responsible for remediation of organic and inorganic pollutants. Besides this, he guided 06 Ph.D., 04 M.Phil., 31 M.Tech./M.Sc. and 25 B.Tech./B.Sc. students, which proves his skills and passion for teaching and research.
