Dr. Koushik Guha is currently the head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Silchar in Assam. He received the Distinguished Faculty Award in 2021 from NIT Silchar for his exceptional performance in teaching and research. In 2022, he was honored with the IETE R.S. Khandpur Award for his achievements and outstanding contributions at both national and international levels in the field of Medical Instrumentation, which encompasses education, research, design, development, and production. He has published over 100 papers in journals like IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier, and has presented at international conferences. Additionally, Dr. Guha has authored around 35 book chapters and two books focused on MEMS and healthcare. He is a senior member of IEEE and holds membership in various professional organizations such as the IEI, SECI, FOSET, and IIAM. Additionally, he holds five international patents and two national patents. He has supervised 7 PhD students and is currently overseeing 8 PhD scholars in the fields of MEMS and VLSI. His current research interests include mimicking human body functions using MEMS technology, RF MEMS, Bio-MEMS, MEMS energy harvesting, and the design and development of smart sensors for IoT, along with VLSI circuit design and optimization.
Samar K. Saha is the Chief Scientist at Prospicient Devices, USA, and an Adjunct Faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Department at Santa Clara University, USA. Dr. Saha has authored over 100 research papers and four books. He has also contributed to two book chapters and holds 13 granted U.S. patents. From 2016 to 2017, he served as the President of the IEEE Electron Devices
Society (EDS) and is currently the Chairperson of the IEEE EDS SMZ Education Award. He is the founding Editor-In-Chief of the newly launched journal, IEEE Electron Devices Reviews. Dr. Saha earned his PhD in Physics from Gauhati University, India, and an MS degree in Engineering Management from Stanford University, USA. He is a Life Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology in the UK, and a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE EDS. In 2021, he was awarded the IEEE EDS Distinguished Service Award.
Jacopo Iannacci received his MSc (Laurea) degree in electronics engineering and his PhD in information and telecommunications technology from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2003 and 2007, respectively. In 2021, he was awarded Habilitation as a Full Professor in Electronics by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR). He was a visiting researcher at the DIMES Technology Center (now known as the Else Kooi Lab) at the Technical University of Delft, Netherlands, in 2005 and 2006, where he focused on developing innovative technologies.

Das Dateiformat PDF zeigt auf jeder Hardware eine Buchseite stets identisch an. Daher ist eine PDF auch für ein komplexes Layout geeignet, wie es bei Lehr- und Fachbüchern verwendet wird (Bilder, Tabellen, Spalten, Fußnoten). Bei kleinen Displays von E-Readern oder Smartphones sind PDF leider eher nervig, weil zu viel Scrollen notwendig ist. Mit Wasserzeichen-DRM wird hier ein „weicher” Kopierschutz verwendet. Daher ist technisch zwar alles möglich – sogar eine unzulässige Weitergabe. Aber an sichtbaren und unsichtbaren Stellen wird der Käufer des E-Books als Wasserzeichen hinterlegt, sodass im Falle eines Missbrauchs die Spur zurückverfolgt werden kann.
