Daniela Galimberti got her degree in Biological Sciences in 1996 and her PhD in Neurological Sciences in 2004.
She is the Chief of the Laboratory of the Alzheimer Center at the Policlinico University Hospital (Milan, Italy). Her main interests include genetics and bio-molecular aspects of neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer's disease, Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration) and demyelinating diseases (Multiple Sclerosis).
Dr. Galimberti is the Chair of the subcommittee on Dementia of the European Neurological Society.
She is author of 195 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals, 10 chapters in international volumes, and more than 250 contributions to conferences. He serves as reviewer for several neurological journals. She is a Senior Associate Editor of the "Journal of Alzheimer's disease".

Elio Scarpini got his degree in Neurology in 1981 and he is professor of Neurology at the University of Milan. He is the Chief of the Alzheimer Center at the Policlinico University Hospital (Milan, Italy). His main interests include clinical and therapeutic aspects of neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer's disease, Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration) and demyelinating diseases (Multiple Sclerosis).
He is author of more than 250 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals, 8 chapters in international volumes, and more than 350 contributions to conferences.
He serves as reviewer for several neurological journals. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal ofNeurology and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of the Neurological Sciences.

Das Dateiformat PDF zeigt auf jeder Hardware eine Buchseite stets identisch an. Daher ist eine PDF auch für ein komplexes Layout geeignet, wie es bei Lehr- und Fachbüchern verwendet wird (Bilder, Tabellen, Spalten, Fußnoten). Bei kleinen Displays von E-Readern oder Smartphones sind PDF leider eher nervig, weil zu viel Scrollen notwendig ist. Mit Wasserzeichen-DRM wird hier ein „weicher” Kopierschutz verwendet. Daher ist technisch zwar alles möglich – sogar eine unzulässige Weitergabe. Aber an sichtbaren und unsichtbaren Stellen wird der Käufer des E-Books als Wasserzeichen hinterlegt, sodass im Falle eines Missbrauchs die Spur zurückverfolgt werden kann.
