Milton Dentch was born and raised in the Worcester, Massachusetts, area. He has a BS in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MS in quality management systems from the National Graduate School of Quality Management (NGS). After college, he worked as an engineer in the paper industry for five years, and then he worked as an engineer and manager at the Polaroid Corporation in Waltham, Massachusetts, for 27 years. He was also plant manager for the Custom Coating and Laminating plant in Worcester for the Furon Corporation.
Milt has over 40 years' experience in a wide variety of industries, including pulp and paper, chemical, plastic and rubber processing, battery manufacturing, converting, electronics assembly, and machine building. Milt currently provides consulting, training, and auditing related to the
International Organization for Standardization requirements for quality, environmental, and safety management systems. He has conducted over 500 audits worldwide for large and small companies. His clients have been as diverse as a floating oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico to an electronics manufacturer in the Ukraine with 4000 employees. Milt is an RABQSA qualified Lead Auditor for Quality and Environmental Management Systems and a Registrar approved OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor. In 2012, Milt wrote Fall of an Icon-Polaroid after Edwin H. Land (Riverhaven Books), an insider's history of the Polaroid Corporation. His book The ISO 14001:2015 Implementation Handbook was published by ASQ Quality Press in 2016.
