Oodles of Rubles

Oodles of Rubles! is a spoof on the lifestyles and real estate mania of people living on the Island of Martha's Vineyard. A broker with a concierge agency catering to Russian oligarchs, Ivan Cox leads the reader on an illustrated tour of the island. While describing the Island, he also touches on Island traditions and oddities, replete with farcical encounters and capers. New Yorker cartoonist Mick Stevens embellisses the witty text with poignant and hilarious illustrations. Oodles! is chock-a-block full of wry and outrageons humor and takes jibes at current American political dynamics. In short, it's a fabulons Beach read narrated by an amusing, absurd, and charmingly clueless companion .

Mick Stevens has been a cartoonist for The New Yorker since 1979.
