Frederick Booth-Tucker was commissioner to India for the Salvation Army, and the son in law of General William Book, the Army's Founder. "Darkest India", also known as "Darkest India: A Supplement to General Booth's In Darkest England, and the Way Out", was written as an introduction of Booth's "In Darkest England and the Way Out".
This book is a philosophical call to arms to improve the abject living conditions of India's poor.
