A book such as this could never be made without the help and assistance of many others.
First and foremost, my sincere thanks and great appreciation to Bill Squires for living to the fullest the interesting life that is depicted in these pages; and to Dick Beardsley for his warm, amusing, heartfelt, and caring foreword. I would also like to thank my late parents, both of whom were voracious readers-my mother, Carol Hunt-Clerici, who as the first line of editing, read every word before anyone else and provided valuable guidance; and my father, Frank Clerici Sr., for his continual support and interest in these endeavors.
Thank you to: Jack Authelet, Dick Campbell, Tim Evans, the late Richard Schnorbus, for their formative direction throughout my writing development; the late Bob Levitsky, for his fine comments and diligent assistance; Jill Beardsley, Kathleen Doherty, Mark Duggan, Jeff Johnson, Jack McDonald, Ashley Mitchell (USATF), New England Runner (especially Bob Fitzgerald, Michele LeBrun), NIKE, Charlie Rodgers, Rick Shannon, Bill Squires, Paul Sutton, for their photographic contributions; the former John Hancock Hotel & Conference Center in Boston, Mass., especially Warren "Bud" Carroll, Richie Dattoli, Charlie Grant, Terry Lee, for their company and sustenance; Louisa Clerici, Rick Clerici, Scott Douglas, Lorraine Moller, Dennis O'Rourke, Ken Reed, Bob Ryan, Marc Songini, for their deft insight and direction from within; Richard Benyo, Jan Colarusso Seeley, for their long-running support, advice, and foresight; Richard M. Fruci, Denali Granholm, Dave Kellogg, Chris Lotsbom, Gerald J. McTernan, Jean Nelligan, Blake Russell, Bob Sevene; Ambrose "Amby" Burfoot, Tom Derderian, Jack Fleming, Richard Johnson, Tim Kilduff, Stephen Lyons, Dave McGillivray, Guy Morse III, Gloria Ratti, Roger Robinson, Bill Rodgers, Kathrine Switzer, Fred Treseler III, who all provided supportive words of encouragement and various avenues of pursuit throughout the process; Cheryl Clerici, Fred Doyle, Mark Duggan, Beverly Jaeger-Helton, Barbara Lee, Christine Lee, Stephanie Lee, Gigi Turgeon, for their own infectious enthusiasm for this book when mine needed a boost; and Tom Doherty, Liz Evans, Dani McCormick, Thomas McLean, and everyone at Meyer & Meyer Sport Publisher and Cardinal Publishers Group for making it happen!
Regarding research-in addition to Coach's scribbles and notes on scraps of paper, and the colorful recollections and memories stashed "between his ears"-there were many people, published reports and records, and websites to whom and which I turned to confirm facts and figures and whatnot.

Dateiformat: ePUBKopierschutz: Wasserzeichen-DRM (Digital Rights Management)
Systemvoraussetzungen:
Weitere Informationen finden Sie in unserer E-Book Hilfe.
